Simply amazing!! That took some time and effort to put that together!!

Crazy too, is that it looked like a drone was following it most of the time!!o_O

I want to see the stats of how many hours it took to prep this, how many glass they used (and broke).... that was so cool!

They had posted a video of them setting this up and how they filmed it. Don't have the link handy though. It seems that they used a single phone as a video camera, with one person handing the phone to the next person -- do agree that it looks like a drone as the hand-offs were sooo fluid!

Here's the video Moose mentioned where they are setting everything up and testing how they will video record using a phone passed from one human to the next ... Look at about 2:47 into the video for them passing the phone.

Geez, guys. You find something cool, you run to the N Scale subforum, you admit it isn't N, then act like the fact that it isn't N scale means it has mighty tall mountain to climb to achieve coolness.

Am I wrong to feel discriminated against?

Some of you fellows aren't very inclusive, you know. You may not be racist, sexist or ageist. But some of you sure are gaugist! :(

    @acptulsa

Moose just suggested to the site admin. people that perhaps this thread should be moved to a non-scale specific location on the forum. Hope that is okay... :cautious:

    Folks,
these two brothers created and are running what is by far the LARGEST model railroad layout in Europe.
Takes some level of foolishness, but they got it right, that layout is one of the overall most favourite attraction in Hamburg.
Been there twice and would go conuntless times more; while it may not be a layout as we do in our homes, these guys create some wonderful little engineering miracles that give you a continuous WOW.....
Check Miniatur Wunderland on youtube or any search engine.
Here their youtube channel (most of the videos are in german, but at least they have english subtitles)
    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC99kO6xDZSh2UNA-jdpN7cA
    Among others:
    - The ships in the Danish Strais under the Oresund bridge actually float and are computer steered. These moor.
    - Knuffingen Airport, it is beauty in itself. Just check it out, words can not describe.
Then there is the rock concert in Switzerland, the Vesuvius volcano in Italy, they are also working on a 1/87 Formula one Monaco Grand Prix for the French Riviera section where the cars will be "levitating" over the road track and autonomously driven by AI so that each run is different. Ai will also control the 1/87 megascreens (in reality these exist for the real people on the tribunes) so that the visitors can follow the cars behind the buildings.

Most of the technology and software is homemade, and what i really admire is that they took the pandemic as an opportunity to do a heavy mainteinance and some stunts like this, but mostly that means their employees not only are working and getting full pay, but also keep their minds focused on something else than the pandemic.

    Enjoy.

Yes...I think Everyone should just post n scale trains here. NO motorcycles or cars/trucks...no model planes or helicopters or drones. Nothing but n scale train specific....that includes NO discusions on anything HO !!!!.

    My bad...begging for forgiveness...

    :p

I have moved it to this Forum. Scale neutral now. And back to enjoying this topic!

Quite the feat with tuning, timing, setting up, etc. Very impressive feat.

And an equally impressive layout - I sat back so I didn't drool into my keyboard...:ROFLMAO:
