Moose cannot seem to successfully upload and embed photos into posts. Was able to do it as recently as yesterday afternoon. Can only add photo files, but not get them to show in post. Help!
I noticed this cropping up this afternoon and have notified our IT gurus. My work around so far is to click on the file before making your post. This will bring up the image. Copy the image location and insert it in the field after clicking on the photo box in the tool bar. Then hit post reply. Till it gets fixed this is kind of a hassle.
This is kind of what it looks like when done. The image is there (screen shot in this case) and the file link below it.
You can also click on the photo so that it opens in another tab, then edit your post and insert an image using the URL from the tab where the image is displayed separately. -Bob T.
Yes. Please bear with us. We have had several issues crop up recently. One was just repaired minutes ago, two of us up in the middle of our night. Other things are taking more time to be remedied. We are doing the best we can.
Thanks for spending your nighttime on this. It's a hobby, I know, that can free unexpected resource in somebody. But please, don't forget to sleep at least a little.
Volunteer work on a server is just that, I work a full 55 hour week and have kids and a girlfriend...please keep in mind when things are not working correctly
I also work, full time, including a lot of pandemic related OT. Atop some unpleasant health issues which often rob me of getting decent and proper rest. This at times scatters my presence here to the winds. Not to mention any hobby time being frequently down to none...
Moose thanks all of you for providing your valuable time keeping this site running. Very much appreciated! Now get back to work and fix that photo uploady posty thing... (Just kidding! )
Thanks for all involved that donate they're time and efforts to keep Trainboard up and running, your much appreciated!!
+1 I'm a mod/admin on another forum and I have a great appreciation for the work that goes into maintaining the software behind it. Thanks to everyone working on this. We might grumble, but we can wait.
But now I can't get the search to work any more. Oh well I use Google and enter Trainboard and then the topic I am searching for and that seems to work.
