I thought the ones I listed were the ONLY scales :) Really, I had no clue there were that many? My bad! And also, I had no idea people would actually make them Bold and in Color, pretty cool though. I like it :) You can immediately see what scale(s) they enjoy.

If you go into your Profile's Person Details (from a browser, click on your name in the upper right corner and select "Personal Details"), under your avatar is field called "Custom Title". Entering something there will overwrite the white "TrainBoard Member" in your post avatars. Note how mine now says "N Scale"

i think editing the 'custom title' is only available to staff members and others of that elevation, not common serfs, i mean users, lol

I believe this is due to the fact that "Custom Avatars" were once a perk for those who became a TrainBoard Supporter. We had a couple of folks here would would design art work for your avatar, as a part of it all. And the software remains unchanged since then, so those who are not Supporters do no have access.

That software must not be working as I've had a PayPal monthly contribution for quite a while now.

Not that I'm interested in special privileges for being a monthly contribution. Didn't even consider it when I signed up just felt it was the right thing to do to help keep the site up knowing myself what that costs a year.

What you have listed are gauges and not scales, the scales are still O, HO, S etc.

I know, Rick. I am a modeler with experience in On30 and long years of HOn30. I was listing them as potential designators of our various modeling interests, not for determining any scale.

Hmm! A bite different than what I learned in the '60s and '70s. I was into model architectural and mechanical design at first which used scales. Later into model trains which were in gauges. HO gauge = 1:87 scale. N gauge = 1:160 scale.

Oh well! To each there own!;)
