3D wasn't around when I did these trucks. I cut the masters by hand and made four two part molds. I carved the bolsters! BPitts Buckeye truck 5.jpg

The bolster design and the 'internals' of the truck are really impressive. The proto:87 wheelsets are the finishing touch. I have a set like this on Shapeways for my DODX model, but I am beginning to think I made some mistakes on it. I am wondering what resources you used for your model. Did you have drawings for it? Modern Buckeye trucks are sorely lacking in HO scale, and information on them seems to be a bit slim too. Supposedly Spring Mills Depot is releasing them with their DODX models, but that has been a long time coming.

    Thank you sir!
I found drawings in the 1990 CLC and drawings for the span bolster too! I had them scaled down to HO and off I went!
If the trucks ever come out, I'll by a couple of pair! I bought two pair when UTI came out with thei'r brass 2021-06-14_07-36-02.jpg DODX tank flat!

The 1990 CLC has a set of scale drawings for the trucks and the two truck span bolster! 4626662150_24e4b9e3d0_o~2.jpg

    some impressive work there!

regarding lack of buckeyes in HO scale; Athearn do them as a separate part with metal wheels, I don't have the part number to hand but could get it as I have a set and also PSC do a brass set.

My pair are Tyco, circa 1974, out from under the wrecking crane and now carrying a flat car. They don't hold a candle to the pair in the OP for detail, and certainly don't have working suspension. I had to replace the axle and wheel sets. I didn't realize how out-of-round Tyco wheels were just from watching most cars jiggle their way around the track, but seeing those three axle trucks fight themselves was definitely part of my model railroad education.

The 11' wheelbase have never been produced until Union Terminal Imports imported them with their DODX tank flat! They sold the trucks as a separate item! Buckeye made several different versions of their six axle trucks. The main different is the wheelbase. The 11' WB was the heaviest and last Buckeye made!
