    I continue to marvel at the variety of subjects that all of you post and it makes this thread so interesting. Wow, that Shawnee depot is impressive.

    Great stuff everyone!

    Box, that shot is on the backside of the NS Diesel Shop at NS's DeButt's Yard in Chattanooga. I'm not sure why that section of panel track has metal ties but it has been sitting there for several years.

    A bed of yard trackage is what I get from that. Metal ties are mainly used for yard purposes.


    Most people get drunk, others want sex but as for me, I go Railfanning.

    When the KCS rebuilt the Victoria Subdivision in Texas, they used metal ties a lot for temporary sidings. They pulled them all up after.
