Cannot recall where I got the hotrod. The Herbie I recently found on fleabay. The blue Nascar Micro Machines whenever they were matching size to N scale, I picked up in the late 90's. My other vehicles I either got on eBay or through wish. Yes, wish! Especially the high rail trucks!

I cannot recall since Ive had them for some time now. It does say 1989 Galoob with made in china on the bottom. I am assuming it's a micro machine. I grabbed it due to the size. It's a tad bit bigger than n scale. The Hot Wheels Planet Micro Petty race team is closer to 1/160 than the micro machines hot rod. There’s an N scale fuel truck next to the set in the first photo and the High rail truck in the second one.

Well I guess that I have been busy with the layout and busy running trains. I forgot to update my layout thread. Well here’s some photos of the layout and what has happened since last post.[IMG]

Some more updates on my layout recently. Here’s my new BLI SD40-2’s pulling a coat train once around. Click on the link.

Wow, it's been exciting to watch this layout build from the beginning; what a wonderful job you've done!

I have plans for a couple of Pike Stuff buildings myself; they look great! How were they to build?

What is the structure with the complex tin roof, on the near side of the double stub sidings with 4 covered hoppers on them? That looks really interesting.

Thanks Jake for the complement! I am still adding on to the layout itself. I have to add a few more buildings and scenery. Right now I am just enjoying my two new locomotives from BLI.

The Pikestuff building was okay to assemble. The directions were not too clear though. The Blairline Boston station, company houses and the shotgun houses was a better quality build. The Rolly’s Railroad model fire tower and the two cabins next to the tower were fun to build and challenging. I highly recommend his wood kits!

The structure with the tin roof is the Woodland Scenics H&H feed mill fully assembled building. They have them for HO and O scale also. Worth the money, because of the details that are on the building. I am not that good yet to assemble something to this caliber.

    Thanks Chops!
I just recently picked these Back to the Future trio from target yesterday. The height is a fraction off from other Nscale cars. Although they are a little bit wider. Having them spaced out from the other cars it’s not as noticeable. I did place them in somewhat film centric. The first one is being chased by Biff Tannen down the road. The second one is skimming the treetops right before it disappears. The third one is of course on the tracks heading into the path of Leo Picket and Will Haney’s train as they are working track repairs on the Southland interchange with the Missouri Pacific. If you look close enough to the GP38 you will see the Southland logo on the locomotive.

Those are some cool scenes. (y)(y)(y) I saw that Back to the Future car set at Target the other day and wondered how it would like with N scale stuff. I may just have to stop by there again now :D

Thanks for the info! Information like you have provided is really useful. I'm a newbie when it comes to assembling structures (I like that WS feed mill!). I kinda figured the Pikestuff might not have great instructions, since they really seem to cater to customizing and combining kits, and really just sell different collections of their standardized building parts (not unlike the 1:1 metal building companies) for specific buildings. They even acknowledge that the MAC kit can be an excellent source of material for kitbashing whatever you want in the realm of metal buildings.

I am getting close to the end of adding all of the structures that was my intention’s for this layout. Recently I have been adding on the people, extra greenery, water tower, another business downtown, relocated some of the pieces and even painted the grain silo. With the new rolling stock of PBR in the yard from Atlas. I think that I have accomplished a lot within a years time. I have the one more show inspired building to be placed. I am just waiting for him to design and laser cut it out for me to build. This will be the fourth show item for the layout reflecting this hodgepodge of fantasy and cliché of a small town in the central part of the USA. Yesterday I received my moonshine still from Showcase miniatures. I added it an secluded spot on my layout. [IMG]

What a great layout ! It's also a bonus getting to see Missouri Pacific Lines being modeled. I'm hopefully going to start a door layout, with MO PAC as my choice line.

Thanks Chris! It’s just great to meet another Missouri Pacific modeler. Plus if you are into Nscale we can probably help each other with modeling in general with the Missouri Pacific. I have quite the collection of the Mo-Pac in the Jenks era and quite the knowledge of the railroad and the collection of the railroads antiques that came from the line. Are you an member of the MPHS?
