Getting here late as the clock strikes midnight here in the Delaware Valley. After the crazy, insane, stressful week we had I truly have no clue what is happening. My wife spent the week doing tests and visiting doctors in order to get cleared for surgery. We both need the weekend to recover. One trip I know I have to make is to find prescription dog food. There are a few outside projects if the weather cooperates.

In the modeling world, I have at least one IHC passenger car to convert the couplers, add metal wheels, and add weight. After that there are some Heinz pickle tank cars to weather. I hope to look over the collection of structure kits to decide what is next. I need to do something other than the engine terminal area on the layout.

That's the little one that doesn't seem to work right. The goo inside always wants to stick to the sides. It's on my workbench to see if one last Google search can save it. Otherwise it'll probably go to the church ladies basement sale and I'll keep the big one my parents used to have. My wife isn't find of either of them so I also need to find a better place for it than next to the television.

"That didn't go as planned" probably summarizes my efforts on the pegboard project. I started moving the workbench to get behind it and swap panels and the whole thing collapsed. So it instead of installing the new panel, I rebuilt most of the old panels, then built a new bracing structure behind the workbench, then reinstalled panels, added the new panel, then had to resize a couple panels and adjust because something wasn't square. But it's back together and better/stronger than before. Now, after some lunch and a little rest, I'm heading back downstairs to start hanging all the tool up again.[IMG]

I have some pegboards mounted in our garage. Some years ago my wife left on a three day Girl Scout venture. She returned home safely and parked the car. Hours later a pegboard pulled out of the wall and fell on the car. Three whole days to harmlessly fall and nothing. Park the car and BOOM.

That took a lot longer than I expected but it's all back up, it's better organized, and , of course, there's room left over.

Part of my problem here is that, since the house belongs to the church, I can't shoot screws into the nice paneling so attaching the pegboard directly to the wall is out of the question. Instead, I built a frame from 2x4s screwed to the legs so everything is free-standing.[IMG]
