I also bevel the edges of plastic roofs for the same effect. Jim

I got back to older dioramas with some final touches. Backdrop is a very good addition:

Photos are not very good - just made with my mobile phone without natural light but I am happy that I was able to find a backdrop which really fits to the diorama:

I really like that fall foliage! It really makes the scene vibrant. Very nice!

The second diorama is based on military training area ramp. This backdrop is not that spectacular but I think it adds the quality to this diorama as well:

There will be some railway in the port. I have to decal some items for Period II. The first one is ready:

    Pawel,
Great job on the barge decals. I agree with Rob.
Nice weathering job on the coal wagon.

I have more cars for diorama. At the moment there are 10 and I plan to have some more plus 1-2 steam locomotive. With railway equipment diorama is getting alive more and more ..

    Pawel,

Very cool! The diorama populated with rail wagons is the final touch.

I added Marklin gas lamps on the street:

    IMG_9516.JPG

For the water part I decided that there will be a representation of sunked ship lifting-up operation. I want to use another Artitect resin ship but this is a waterline model. I made remaining part of the bottom using Green Stuff:

    IMG_9344.JPG

The bottom was grinded and the whole ship painted:

    IMG_9383.JPG

I added first layer of "water" and started to setup the whole scene with installing ropes to fit the hooks ofpontoons:

    IMG_9514.JPG

There will be some "water on the bow" effect. It takes time for this Woodland Water Effects to get dry:
