"Rear axle on tender needs connected. Please see pictured images."

What is this, an Amazon product description? Home Depot assembly instructions?

What, this has dropped to Page 3 in the listings? Is there no more humor to share?

How about this (again, not posting link since why give a seller publicity):

2 Packs of Atlas Code 80 Rerailers clearly marked $3.25 each in the photo - $12.99, or $6.50 each - current MSRP on Atlas site is $4.95 each
    Shipping: $11.75.

Well, we have another roofless body shell with the added attraction of broken steps and handrails, and all for only $7.99 plus Shipping.

Once again they must be into a fresh jug of that old mountain dew. Fresh from the still.........

I'm guessing that there just isn't as much train stuff being listed since the change of categories. I know that I spend almost no time there anymore and two of my favorite sellers (if not more) have stopped listing there. Saves me time since MT rolling stock listings are less than half of what they used to be...

The price does seem a bit high especially since DCC and sound are not mentioned.
Looking at the "Item Description" there are several misleading/incorrect categories.
I'd go with your gut on this one.

"The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear,..." I would need to check it in person, to believe it is C-8.

This item has been on eBay for three months and the only things edited during that time have been shipping terms, refund terms and its Buy It Now Price. It'll be there in another three months with the Seller valiantly holding firm to $196.99 instead of $6.99.

Here's a "Con-Cor 4-6-4" which looks a lot like an Arnold Rapido 4-6-2, in terrible condition with a ruinous decal job and all for $115.17.

Yes, that is ridiculously high. The street price for the non-sound, non-dcc version of that loco should be less than half that, though you may not be able to find it anywhere. Broadway Limited will be coming out with that model, with DCC and sound, naturally, for with a lower street price than that. Also, here's the DCC, but no sound, Kato version for less: https://www.highcountryhobbies.com/...-union-pacific-spirit-of-up-sd70ace-1943-dcc/

And here we again see an example of the weird pricing ongoing. $115.17??? The old pricing dart board in use once more.

I think having read both sides, I'm going to get the Kato version. I appreciate the detail of the BLI, but everyone swears by the reliability of Kato on their tracks. I just don't want to take a chance with such a pricey item.

Usually weird pricing is a conversion from a different currency, but I think that Ohio still uses the dollar...at least it has a MT coupler (with a polystyrene shim showing from the bottom). Cool HO decals too.
