Thanks you. But I must remember that something like this walk bridge was built to be functional and not pretty. So I will try to keep it in that mode.
I read that most walk bridges were painted white, (whitewash). I will sponge paint it with a fairly dry sponge so it will look like old paint. Must remember that this canal is abandoned. But anyway, it's coming along.
The footbridge looks great! A whitewash (perhaps add a drop of black to make it a light gray) is nice, but following up with a diluted india ink wash will highlight the grain and make the structure look more aged.
Stairs! I hate doing stairs and sometimes I have to call for help. LARRY! But this is a low bridge, so I only need a few steps. I can do it! Super woman! Well, I found what I need in my scrap box of laser wood kits of the past. The way I want to do it is to have the steps disappear into the, overgrown, grass and weeds. Wish me luck
I learned that song 55+ years ago in grade school and have never forgotten it. Weird what sticks in our minds.
If you have trouble now, just wait a few years. Just take it one step at a time. And hang on. You do have the skill.
