Is it even a complete shell? Depending upon manufacturer, I don't see any steps on it...?

"I Really Don't Know Anything About This Item" = I'm Too Lazy To Learn; or, I Do And I'm Trying To Get Away With Something; or I Don't Feel Like Answering Questions
"New To eBay" = see above
"READ!!!" = I'm Going For Plausible Deniability
    "LQQK" = Junk
"Vintage" = More Than Five Minutes Old
"Rare" = When Compared To The Number of Water Molecules On Earth

These are great. I especially like the "I Do And I'm Trying To Get Away With Something", as it is so obvious in many listings. (y)

The most common is "I'm only in this for the easy money at home".

Like this one .. Atlas/Rivarossi N Scale 2180 Undecorated 2-8-2 Mikado Steam Locomotive For Parts | eBay Have to Love the Item Specifics:

    Item specifics
Condition: Used: An item that has been used previously. The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear, but is fully operational and functions as intended. This item may be a floor model or store return that has been used. See the seller’s listing for full details and description of any imperfection. See all condition definitions

I Think this is the sellers list-

Atlas / Rivarossi N Scale 2180 Undecorated 2-8-2 Mikado Steam Locomotive For Parts. Part of a collection donated to my model railroad club to be auctioned and the proceeds benefit charity (Rutland Railroad Association Museum) and tax deductible. Not sure why locomotive was ever dismantled. Looks to be complete and motor runs great. Tender is complete and looks nice. Needs a talented modeler to reassemble. STUDY PHOTOS. More info upon request. Shipped USPS.

"....is fully operational and functions as intended." Really? If this is true, then cows can fly.

I don't own eBay stock, nor do I follow it, but I couldn't help but notice that after a near 12% drop in its shares today (with its NASDAQ market falling half that today), eBay is trading where it was in June 2020. In comparison, the battered NASDAQ is still up 25% over the same period.

In an astounding mix of B.S., a Wall Street analyst bloviated "that initiatives around improving the product experience for focus-categories while catering to "enthusiast" buyers continue to show green shoots with faster gross merchandise value growth in these categories. These improvements if sustained will take time to start materially impacting the trajectory of aggregate Gross Merchandise Value growth and profitability, in our view, exposing investors to more execution risks."

Translation: eBay's shoving aside its traditional business model has so far produced weaker than expected sales and an uncertain future.

Bloviated, indeed! Some minor wannabe trying to make themselves seem important?

The advent of social media is finally making a BIG dent in their once 'invincible giant' status. They are not making the correct choices to maintain any competitive advantage. YAYYYYY!!!!!!!! I keep thinking of that old saw about "the bigger they are, the harder they fall". (y)

Looking at the photo, whatever the previous owner did to the load on that tender??? Paint chipped and worn. Unknown if it actually will run on track. No way I'd even think about paying half their price. You can get better examples for half that number.

'Looks very fair'?!! What is that supposed to mean. Also, that connecting rod is 'fairly' bent...

I have described myself as "very fair" but I sometimes use "Pigmentally Challenged." One hour or less on the beach and I'm a lobster. :ROFLMAO:

Hmm, I don't think that's what you meant.
