It is a really, really cheesy way of trying to invoke plausible deniability. But is a big time fail.

When the seller is being less than ethical, such as deliberately having vision issues? Or delusions of grandeur?

The eccentric crank is way out of alignment. Danger sign of someone doing maintenance without having any clue of what they are doing. If it's keyed like a kato then that is an easy fix but then what else will one find is wrong with it? Curious the other side isn't pictured.

Agreed. Nor does he know his 1 :1 Manufacturers ALCO , EMD and GE or his SCALE Manufactures as well.

George, Yes I know Gauge is misspelled. I think the seller needs of this ALCO RSD15 N Gauge Scale Locomotive Model Train C&O 7553 Chessie System UNTESTED needs to use their spell check on or Grab an actual Hardcover Dictionary just my opinion.

A couple of clicks on eBay shows this seller: eBay member since 2013, has over 2k followers, over 29k transactions and lists over 17k items.
The "N" prefix is used on many items (some model railroad items in various scales and other non-railroad items). The "N" may be a warehouse location.

Maybe it's my imagination, but it seems that the quality of eBay's N Scale offerings is in a slow and steady decline. As compared with several years ago, most of what I see now is low end junk and endless repetition the same ridiculously overpriced items. Visiting eBay has become a bore.

The interesting stuff that I used to find between these extremes has largely evaporated. I'm not sure if the good Sellers have abandoned eBay and moved elsewhere, or if the trend has led to their withdrawal of selling altogether.

This is what I've been saying...several of the bigger sellers that I normally did business with on EBay have left since the 'N Scale' category was removed. Last time I checked, there was 1 auction per ever 10 BINs. EBay has been trying to commit suicide for years but I think they may have accomplished their goal, even if it was via a slow bleeding out. Too bad...
