Been a few weeks since I have been down to the layout. Maybe this weekend will be better. Saturday: After being gone the better part of the last two weeks, I have a lot of errands to catch up on plus need to stop by the office and drop off an item from this past weeks trip and pick up a bunch of stuff that will be heading out with me on Monday. Hopefully I'll make it back early enough to get in a quick nap before dinner. Sunday: This will be a laundry day! WooHoo, fun stuff. Well if all goes well, I will be spending the time between loads going down and seeing what I can do on the layout! Have a couple of new cars I got at the NSE N Scale convention that I am just itching to run. Hope you all have a great weekend!!!!!!!!
Moose plan on only a few things this here weekend: Saturday: Get up gumption to walk to mailbox at end of street to fetch something that post human allegedly delivered yesterday, figure out how it works, modify an old gondola to fit it and then test it! Bwaaa! (insert evil moose laugh here) ... Or do whatever Mrs. Moose tells Moose to do... Sunday: Maybe finish main brewery building and/or play with aforementioned new something...
Golly! I actually started building the kit when I said I would! That said, there are a lot of parts in the kit that are not mentioned/pictured in the instructions(???)
Welcome to the world of Walthers kits. I really like them but instructions are not really good, usually, and extra parts you need to use, but also usually just extra parts if you screw up, or can use them to kit bash stuff. Your kit looks very similar to my Modern Gas Station kit Or that building does anyway. The Modern Gas Station is one of my favorite structures on the layout. Along with the DQ Grill & Chill!
Well, that didn't last long. I glued 8 pieces together, then I went and decaled half of a black Southern Pacific "Overnight" boxcar.
