Isn't the wheel on the left kitty-wampus or is that more camera artifact?

MIne are EMD, not GE or ALCO like yours.

This wheel illustrates why we have to change wheels from time to time.

Its a group of private owners and individuals who have organized a fledgling non-profit group dedicated to the preservation of the passenger train. The group recently took ownership of the local Milwaukee Road depot and moved it to their property for use as the museum HQ.

Yikes. That is more than just a bit ugly! Do you have facilities to rebuild such? Or must you contract these out...?

It will need to be shipped to our wheel vendor. These will need to be changed, I think I have good axles....

About $20 million bucks and a lot of time, you'd have a nice passenger train with all those cars!!

Or atleast a good Milwaukee Road train!(y)

A photo of our old car the Verde Valley taken by John McCall. It looks like it may be in a chartered excursion train that Santa Fe ran for various folks. Can't make out what it says on the drumhead. We sold the car to the museum in Chandler, Arizona where it is now being restored. Check out the wreck on the right.
