Good morning from partly cloudy and warm Northeast Ohio! I did not complete anything this week, but I have some pictures of a Tangent Sam Rea Class H51c 4600CF Covered Hopper kit I was working on. This first picture is the kit after I completed all the bracing and adding the main air line to the model. These next two pictures show the end cages on the A and B ends of the car after adding all the braking piping and rods and the grabs and ladders. [ This is the finished kit, ready to apply paint, with the sill steps, roof, coupler lift bars and outlet gates all installed. A Kato GP35 and Stewart U25B with a general freight train, running on the Strongsville OH club layout. Have a great weekend! Rick Jesionowski
A FOS scale model kit I built. Hokum's house of burlesque. I put myself in the scene. " I better get to work! I got five shows to do tonight."
I posted this photo on another thread but will stick it in here as well. I wanted a structure that was closer to prototype than the one which was holding its place on my Rosenberg NTRAK module. Shown here on my photo diorama. Here is the old tower on the module from when it was set up over 10 years ago. The new one is a little larger but will still fit with adequate clearances on all sides.
Laurel and Hardy? Ooooh! Nice retro look. Better get ready for the shows! I'll be in the front row, as usual. Big bushy moustache and a fedora. @dti406 - That hopper is really well detailed! You do great work.
The conductor took a break for a haircut, and I would bet the brakeys and fireman are having some baked goods!
