    From a summer evening in July 1978, EJ&E No. 5 is at Barrington (IL) Tower and will soon cross the C&NW. The tower operator was kind and let me stand on the tower steps to get this shot. Today, the tower is long gone and the names have changed to CN and UP.

    On the way home from the Armadillo Ranch, I took the back way around Hearne by the GATX plant. Their critter's "new" paint is starting to show signs of weathering.
