A Canuck in Connecticut! Those CN 4-8-4s ran like Swiss watches. A Loewy FM switcher still at it in 1970? That old yard goat had staying power! Look up. Waaaaay up. That's a nice NKP steamer on an impressive stone viaduct. The guy in the D&H loco wonder who exactly went through a spatio-temporal anomaly. Or resolving to stop putting that little extra in his coffee... A big heavy Trainmaster... In person, they're impressive.
[/QUOTE] Red is my favorite color for locomotives and sports cars. My 1989 Firebird Formula: Well, not mine. exactly, but just like it except mine had a T-Top. Doug
A GTW steamer on a VT-CT fan trip. The B&O's H10-44 locos were built in late 1948, so this one was only 22 years old.
The T-Top just makes it cooler! CN 6218: MLW built 1942 for CN, serial 69716, used in CN's Steam Excursion Program from 1964-1971. Even steam locos need a hobby in their retirement...
From 04/04/1993, CSX 464 is nearing Pontiac, SC on the former SAL with pole line still intact. This once rural area has since been developed and is almost unrecognizable today.
