Please adhere to these guidelines when using TrainBoard/RailImages Classifieds:

    • This service is for the purpose of buying and selling railroad or model railroad related items and services. Commercial sellers and private individuals are allowed to post.
    • We reserve the right to edit and delete posts at will. Since this is a free service we maintain complete editorial control. We will not change your prices or anything that causes the integrity of your ad to be compromised. Any member may be prohibited from posting in this forum if abuse occurs.
    • We are not responsible for transactions that go wrong. When you make contact with another party through this web site, you are (for all practical purposes) on your own. Do not send products or money until until you feel certain that you are making a bona fide transaction. If you feel that you have been cheated, contact us at once. We do log IP addresses on all posts and we will turn logs over to any law enforcement investigation. We also attempt to resolve disputes but it should be obvious that our ability is limited to working with people who are willing to resolve disputes. Remember; Let the buyer (and seller) beware! We will offer any help that we can if there is a problem but we are not bound legally to do so.
    • Comments should be limited to buying, selling, and questions and answers. Please refrain from making negative comments regarding items, prices, etc. If you do not like the price that a person has on an item, please e-mail them or simply view another page. This service is not for ongoing debates about the worth of any particular item.
    • eBay: Members are allowed to promote eBay auctions by posting links to the auctions as well as images and promotional language.
    • If you are selling something, you may post a link in your signature that says "See my sales" (etc.). This way, every time you make a post on the forums you are advertising your sales. If you do not know how to do this, see this thread.
    • If you post an item for sale, check your post often! People will frequently ask questions and if you are not looking in, you will not be able to answer them. Do not post an item for sale with an e-mail address and advise members to only contact you only by e-mail. We may delete your ad if you do this and consider it an abandoned listing.
    • When you ship something we strongly advise you to get a tracking number and insurance. This can save you a load of heartache later. Any debate about whether or not an item was sent by the seller or received by the buyer can be easily resolved by doing this.
    • When you sell the item(s) that you posted, please return and indicate that the item(s) is/are sold!
    • Any violation of these rules may result in your membership at TrainBoard being terminated, or your ability to post restricted.
    • Check these rules often. New things may be added or existing items changed.
    • Items posted will normally be removed after 90 days or in some cases, sooner. We reserve the right to edit the content of advertisements when necessary.

TrainBoard is glad to offer you this service. We are aware that sales of products through TrainBoard has totalled well over six-figures. If you would like to make an occasional $5 donation to TrainBoard for using this service, please go here. You are under no obligation to do so. It is completely voluntary.

Update to terms of service: E-Mail addresses will now be deleted from posts. Anyone who posts, "E-Mail me at..." - that line will be deleted from your post. If you post on the Swap Meet Forum, you will need to both accept conversations (private messages) and, respond to questions posted on your listing.

    Again, this is incident driven.

    Thanks,

    Charlie
