New mail address I have exchanged passes with several of the people who post here and look forward to exchanging with many more. My wife and I have moved since I started exchanging, so if anybody wants a pass now (or wants to update their records) my new mailing address is: Michael Hampton 6146 Oakbay Court Indianapolis, IN 46237
Michael- I will update my records. I've been looking around, and have talked to a couple of modelers who expressed interest. But to date they've not followed through. Always hoping. Boxcab E50
Unfortunately I have sent out a few for which none came back in return. :tb-sad: The biggest problem I am seeing, is getting people seated in front of their computer, to make up their pass. :tb-wacky: Boxcab E50
Yes I was just thinking of this as I clicked on it... The Nebkota Railway Incorporated passes are still in the imagination process.
Hope you'll move forward, and come up with a pass. It would be fun to see what you create. Exchanging a physical pass is a good bit of fun, a nice bit of personal interaction! Please do.... Boxcab E50
Is anyone creating a pass? Making trades? A quick reminder- Of someone sends you a pass, please be certain to reciprocate as soon as possible. There are some people out there, waiting.... Boxcab E50
I've been mildly following this and I like the idea. I plan to make some Passes for my upcoming Thunder Ridge layout.
Not trying to steal anyone's ideas, but what sort of size do people use on their rail passes. I have some images in books of old passes from Sumpter Valley Railway, so I was thinking about using something like that for a basic idea.
I too plan to make ones for N and HO when I get to that point. The real stuff I have is sightly larger then business cards.
Could we perhaps append some basic or pupular pass dimension/information guidelines to Post 1 of this thread? That might open up the participation to more who stumble here, and with that information in post 1, it will be an easy reference.
What size? I have collected some of most any size. Mine are post card size(wanted to much to fit on business card). Send me a address and I will send one to any one who wants. You can see mine then I will wait for yours.
People seem to create in many sizes. From smallest business card size, to postcard and slightly larger. The prototypes generally issued theirs in a size somewhat larger than a credit card. Boxcab E50
I am working on my logo, and then I will plug it into the pass that I have started and start printing some out. I am hoping to be done in the next few weeks.
Yes, it's simple. You send me your railroad pass: Wolfgang Dudler Esserstr. 3 58640 Iserlohn GERMANY and you will get in response mine. I have a file with letters and passes, it's fun to browse there. You need ideas for your pass? These are e-rail passes. erailpass Wolfgang
