Hmmm ... Now THIS has real possibilities; except the only manufacturer, to date, of the DD40X is Bachmann, and it's anything except 'Good.' Even when they made it with two motors, that only doubled the defects. Wonder how much difficulty the DD40X would have had over the Marias Pass??? :shade:
Um, er What olive? Is there really "olive" in that picture? Note: Roberta is my girlfriend - guess I better redo it ...pronto.
How about some more East Coast? Allan Dustin stays on with the B&M, and doesn't sell to Conrail or Timothy Melon of Guilford. Instead of CSX and NS buying up Conrail, B&M and NS buy it:teeth: . The Bluebird updated on a SD60M. Now I'm of to do what I think modern Day BNSF should look like.

Um, er What olive? Is there really "olive" in that picture? Note: Roberta is my girlfriend - guess I better redo it ...pronto. Technically, it's "Pullman Green", and Ms. Rrrrr, it's the same color of those GN U50's!
DD40 (SN) with Shark Nose in PFL Scheme Ok, Ok, I have waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to much time on my hands. (I'm temping for the state)
Steve, just take out the big center fuel tank, stick two more D-D trucks under there, and you've almost got a Centipede!
Chair and Sun Umbrella on Porch, Steve I would have thought that Trotting the Fox on The Pink Fox Lines would include at least a Hot Tub,and Bar on the Porch!!!:teeth::angel:
Here are two other color schemes I created but retaining the original Empire Builder outline ... Empire Builder in BN Executive Green/Creme And the same Empire Builder scheme but in Big Sky Blue ... Personally I'm partial to the Big Sky Blue .. but that's just me!! :shade: So what would GN modelers prefer of these designs? I am only curious ... P.S. - Steve "The Grey One" .. and here I thought I HAD too much time on my hands!! :teeth:
I like your adaptation of the Big Sky Blue, heck that would look great on modern day BNSF ES44's. Nice work.
For private road names, here is a GP30 San Antonio and Pacific in passenger colors. Here are the simplified freight colors on an RS1. Many of these schemes are very nice. I am surprised at how "plausible" some of them appear to be. I especially like the MoPac, DRGW, and the Black Widows.
Hmmmm.... I've given this one some thought, I just don't yet trust my skills to try it myself. I have an unpainted Dash 8 that just for this project.
Very nice, Flash! Does someone elses' fantasy/freelance sheme count? Grant Eastman's sar, Southern Alberta Rail, is rostered by the Secret Places Sub:
Feel free to share other equipment as well. I just realized I specified engines in my first post. Please feel free to include rolling stock as well.
