One of the experimental "Piggyback" wagons which were designed to carry lorry trailers. Not a success as loading and unloading was too time consuming, IIRC.
A Hull Trains class 222 arrives. These trains look a bit drab to me, but would maybe look better in sunshine instead of rain!
Another convoy of locos., this time from Immingham to Doncaster and Peterborough. 66232 is leading 60034, 60068, 60069, 60004, 60020 and 60045.
Alan, these 158s reminds me of SRT's BREL class 158. We don't have them left much because we can't repair them when they are wrecked (SRT doesn't have equipment to weld aluminum frame) BTW, how the UK railroaders think of class 66 loco? Good, bad, indifferent?
Yes, the 158's appear to be just the same as yours. The class 66 locos are liked by the companies who use them as they are much more reliable than anything we have had previously. About 95% availability. They are also much more fuel-efficient which is very important in these days of high fuel prices. The latest ones also have much cleaner exhaust emissions. Class 66 is steadily becoming the general purpose locomotive here and in mainland Europe.
