There are at least 3 KCS locos located at the GE facility in Lachine, Quebec, (a suburb of Montreal). This is a subdivision of GE where they usually dismantle locos and rail cars for parts. The only numberplate I could see clearly was 689. Dave.
Since the only GE diesels on KCS proper prior to the merger were theAC4400Ws, I wonder if these may be some of the older TFM GEs being sent to scrap.....
The building is owned by General Electric, however space is rented out. None of the activity occuring involving work on locomotives and other rail equipment there is related in anyway to GE.
