Yeah...I like it!! Well I may as well explain this one since its up. I was collecting a set of these pics and can now post them here. This is the C & S 1278. Its one of the Bachmann cars I have been moaning about in the other thread. Like its sister car I have removed the button herald since it was not in use in 1899, left the factory "C & S" and added new numbering. I weathered the car to look like one of the old stock either from the DSP PRR, Clear Creek, UPD & G, or the DL & G lines. Wethering consisted of making fine cuts in some of the single boards to give them a rough look, using ink and different shades of boxcar red on individual boards to give a hand-painted and heavily weathered look. I left a "clean" spot around the letters and numbers to give the appearance of fresh paint. John
Thanks for that! Despite their various problems they are quick and fun little boxcar projects. I'll post more of these as we go along...now that I can poist pics where you can actually see things John
