Yes Jeff, This is from Heiko, I think he is even member here, sure for ZCentral. The Loco is from the grey Berlin set and was modified by Michael Bahls from Germany.
Thanks Guy's..... i'm happy you like the video.. Here's another one i shot last night as well......Enjoy Tony B... Wasatch Z Club
A small video from some train running on my modules to day. http://www.norskmjforum.no/video/data/NERR-03.wmv -
Charlie, please make this tread a sticky. Ok everyone. Lot's of people bugging me to post pix and get with the Vidz. Most of the time, I read and post from work, travel or mobile phone. But I got a new camera that takes MUCH better pix and full 640/30fps vidz so here I go: DCC lighting effects:
nice video, strong authoritative narrative -- seems like a professional production. i would be interested to know what boards you are using. digitrax drop in for the GP35, i would assume. ok, what's next? keep 'em coming. thanks jeff. dave f.
NIce work Jeff. I really like lighting special effects. What decoder did you use for the F7. It looks like a four function decoder. ON your next engine, do a step by step installation, and add it to our how to forum.
Both are 4 function (using 3). The GP has a Digitrax DZ143 which is HUGE by today's standards (compared to Lenz Gold Mini or even smaller CT Elecktronik's) and required chassis mods. There is a PC bd in the cab to provide the localized lighting. The was done 2 years ago. Today, I could do the GP lighting with a drop-in Digitrax modified for 3 functions (add transistor inverter for Front/Rear LED so 2nd Rear function (FOR) can be used for the beacon. Or use a CT Elektronik which will easily fit. The Marklin F7 has an NCE Z14, about the same size as the Digitrax but there is a lot of room in a Marklin for any decoder. There also is a circuit board in the nose. I'l have to reload the pictures in RailImages as it looks like they are gone. Sometimes, when you upload, I notice some existing images get deleted. Here is a decoder compare: (scroll up/down about 6 posts on the page, depending on hoe you view your threads) http://www.trainboard.com/grapevine/showthread.php?t=82441&highlight=decoder&page=5 Vidz are ordinary camera shooting at VGA mode (640x480, 30 fps), uploaded the 30MB .mov file direct to U-tube. Mic is in the camera, 6" from me. Just overhead fluorescent lights. '
OK, lets try another Vid. I used a direct conversion from the camera's MOV files to U-tube's FLV so MUCH faster uploads. Here is an overview of the BAZ BoyZ (well, my modules) in my directorial premiere. Oh, heck, while I'm at it, here's a static camera shot of some trains running on my End module.
Tony, What is the radius of the turnbacks at each end of these modules? Like I was saying in my thread, In N or HO I could make an educated guess but in Z I am having difficulty visualizing the size of stuff.
John, I see that you have FEC as your avatar. There isnt much FEC running stock in z scale. I only know of one boxcar and one Gunderson double stack. As far engines, I only know of two engines in FEC colors, and I own one of them.
