Kevin, thanks for keeping us up to date. I contacted the Kirbys and Pete via email and ordered a shirt, hat and pin. They were amenable to taking orders from others who might be interested. Your group has probably the most active restoration going on in the country. The engine looks just great.
Here are the next sets. http://www.nmslrhs.org/Photos/2013/10-26/index.html And http://www.nmslrhs.org/Photos/2013/11-02/index.html Have fun, Kevin
I have been hounding the group for an online store, but it just isn't happening, so I contacted Gail Kirby and she arranged for me to buy some memorabilia, and promised to do the same for anyone else who would like to purchase hats, shirts, pins, artwork, etc. Heck, I even joined the NMSLRLHS. Here is a shameless plug.
The invasion of the School kids! Here you go the latest set. http://nmslrhs.org/Photos/2013/11-09/index.html Regards, Kevin
Sorry about the delay, I have been finishing up a novel, sigh deadlines are >fun<. Latest photos, http://www.nmslrhs.org/Photos/2013/11-13/index.html And. http://www.nmslrhs.org/Photos/2013/11-16/index.html Have fun, Kevin
It is "Sleep with the fishes". The book is the third of a trilogy, writing it has been more like weaving a basket than telling a story. We have to tie off all the plot lines from the first two books. The whole story arc is a Space Opera, set in a fictional star cluster called the New Chicago cluster.... I made my word count and deadline, now comes the edit. The edit is one of my less favorite parts of writing. Regards, Kevin
The photos are coming in bursts... More photos, also note that past work reports are now accessible on the club page. http://nmslrhs.org/Photos/2013/11-23/index.html http://nmslrhs.org/Photos/2013/11-30/index.html http://nmslrhs.org/Photos/2013/12-07/index.html http://nmslrhs.org/Photos/2013/12-14/index.html Have fun, Kevin
Terrific photos of terrific work, as usual. No doubt this engine will run. I really like the photo coverage your group has accumulated on this project. Thanks for keeping us up to date.
Grin, the icicles felt just fine, every one else was cold. It will be nice when we get the inside shop built down by the turntable. Regards, Kevin
Our new space is part of the Wheels museum here in Albuquerque. It is supposed to look like this; http://www.wheelsmuseum.org/WHEELS-GALABOARDS_FINAL_Revised.pdf However our board of directors is keeping further information close to home, I do expect that we will be done with the restoration before we can move in. Sorry I do not have more for you, Kevin
