Jurg, you should take better care of your FR, when you photograph them, take them back inside! They won't rust up so quickly then.
Mike, there is a guy that is dumping his FR collection on ebay. Its not cheap, but at least its available. I see more stuff from him then from all other sellers combine. Just type FR when you go to ebay. Jurg, I am green with envy when I see your collection. Gerd, your grain cars are truly unique. Torsja, what a great looking engine. It looks matches well with the ore cars.
Hey people, Just a reminder for anyone wanting FR, it is my understanding that Harald will be doing a small run of cars outside his regular scheduled release. If anyone is wanting something they should contact him directly and ask to see if your car is possible to be made. FWIW. That is All!!
I'm also a big fan of FR's stuff... My roster: a few dozens double stack / well cars, ~20 3-bay hoppers, and a dozen woodchip cars. Dom
After looking for a F40PH for a while, I finally found one. Its not easy to find one of this jewels. I have never seen a Amtrak on ebay, so I am lucky to have one in my collection.
I was bit by the bug early on, but then had a change of heart, and sold off a generous-sized collection of FR stock (over two dozen units) some years ago, so there ought to be plenty of folks out there with the remains of my collection. Where have you all gone?
I'm not sure... Did I get my B&O boxcab from you? It's been a while and my rememberer is broke. As far as FR rolling stock goes, I never really noticed how much of it I had accumulated until I was running a coal drag at a show with the DC Z-Bend group. This was before FT's two bays. I had two MT F7s pulling a coal drag, and one of the guys pointed out that there were 68 hoppers and a caboose in the train. And all of the hoppers were FR. Now we all know why I drive a 95 Chevy. Dan S.
True: brass FR hoppers are rather heavy. Myself I've a bunch of FR PS3 grain hoppers and I love them, they perfectly match with AZL's stuff. Dom
Gerd, I am glad you are slower. My CSX F40PH is painted and detail. I just need to decal it. Sometimes finishing the last part is the hardest.
