Russell Straw is performing the time-honored USA tradition of hunting wild turkeys to eat for Thanksgiving dinner. (Actually, he's just off with the family.) I am taking my turn at the turkey WNFF. To do things a little differently this week, I thought we might limit everyone to their own best two photos. Hopefully, they will be new photos but that will not be necessary, so post your best oldies if you like. Roll bys are excepted from the two photo policy. For myself, I just took this one. I am saving the next one for a better shot I have yet to compose. Two Espee passenger GP9s: Let's see your best photos. They don't have to be better than anyone else's...just your own best for this weekend. No contest of course, but we really want to see how good we can make this WNFF issue...make Russell proud, you know? Thanks for your help.
Flash, great picture, I like those bloody nose... Here's my part. Of course with my new little switcher, switching the Flour Mill at Third Street District. This picture is from today, a few hours ago. I like your limitations, Flash. This way anyone has time to post his two best picture from the weekend. For me, this will be this one. Wolfgang
I'm sure I posted this one before.:tb-embarrassed: Till I get some scenery on the new benchwork....
Blast from the past: A Walthers GSC bulkhead flat converted to a pulpwood flatcar From earlier in the layout's contruction, MP and Frisco meet at Little River, AR on the ArkLaTex Sub.
For personal reasons; Trains Through the Trees: Eat Athern: I feel these are my best two photographs.
What a great idea! Everyone gets to show the rest what evokes the strongest response in themselves. My two images are both very recent, which a body would have to expect if one is developing skill and artistic sense over time, and is still early in the hobby...as am I. So, here they are: and
Nice pics, the "eat athern" pic made me laugh, good stuff Steve. Anyway here is a fav from my gallery.
Since only 1 picture is to be posted, I came across this 1. It was a better time in my life. This was 1 month (to the day) of my last day of work. This is me running a GP-40-2 PH with 5 cars. The run was #77 HB-Port Jervis,N.Y. That was my run for about 1 1/2 yrs. Whatever job assignment I picked,I always tryed to get a Pt. Jervis run on it. What a great run. God willing,I'll be back in the seat someday.
