Jerry, at least the price was OK...it wasn't that clown trying to sell an N scale ranch house for over $100.

Mike, I'm certain it means the life of the locomotive, whether half a lap or a full lap... :D

I haven't seen a case like that in many, many years.

I'm glad he won't ship to Australia so I won't be tempted by this one.:tb-biggrin:
I see there is one offer for the docksider but it was rejected, I wonder what the offer was? I have a couple of these that have been in pieces for twenty-five years for a kitbashing project that never got off the ground, If I could find all the parts I could put them up for sale as kits. This isn't unique to Ebay though, I see second hand stuff for sale at shows that wouldn't be worth taking if the sellers were paying me to take it away. You do find the odd bargain or item you've been looking for there or on Ebay sometimes as long as you know what you're looking at. The sad thing is that newcomers who don't may buy these things and give up on trains when that engine they paid 100 bucks for turns out to be a piece of junk.

Tony,I wouldn't pay a hundred bucks for one of those thing, but I'm looking for a few nice ones.I've been watching them on Ebay for a while,I've seen that old version with that kind of valve gear in that kind of shape go for well over 50 bucks..I might go 45 for that one..Those old metal gear ones run forever, too, they just sound aweful.

Believe me, I am looking too but WOW, $100 is a bit steep. LOL. I don't want one that bad, my max price is $30 shipped.
