Though not required, commenting on other peoples pictures is encouraged. 5. Only one image per participant so please choose the image carefully. 6. Please use the Cutting Room Floor thread for related but ineligible images. 7. Any posts with images taken before the commencement of the challenge will not be included in the poll. 8. For photos to be eligible they must be taken between Friday October 2nd and Monday October 5th. 9. Ensure dates and times on your camera are correct. 10. On October 6th, all entries will be put up for a public vote, in which all members of Trainboard may vote for their favorite entry(s), regardless of whether you submitted an entry or not. Voting will be unlimited multiple choice. We look forward to seeing many contributors, remember this is to encourage all photographers to take a shot of the subject rather than post a photo taken in the past.
Might attempt to do something this time. For a change! Gotta see if Alan is up for a brief road trip today!
Paonia Wye Wow! It looks like we have some great competition again. Great shots so far everyone!! Here is the wye in Paonia, CO. Ben
Flash, I had not noticed how uniform the trees were planted. I do not have an answer for you so I guess that might warrant anther trip back to Paonia to get your answer. Ben
Great stuff so far! Still a few hours to get your entry in. There's still several places to find abandoned track in San Francisco, mostly what's left of an ancient rail line, now covered in pavement. But I felt too lazy to go in search, so instead I just climbed Knob Hill to find the Cable Car quad-crossing. Not the best quality, but we have streets, tracks, even bridges. Tall buildings, lush trees, blue skies. This was a fun outing.
Not gonna make it. Weather was a bit too dark, cold and rainy all day! And now, starting to get to dark! Although, I still have an errand to run, so I might give things a quick look! Maybe, just maybe........
Penny's Eye View Not sure if this will count but here is one from this past weekend. How about a penny's eye view of the Cumbres and Toltec 488?
If by past weekend, you mean, photographed between 12:01AM Friday October 2nd and 11:59PM Monday October 5th, the yes it counts. Please let me know ASAP if this was photographed outside the date range so we can move it to the cutting room floor thread. If you're unable to reply soon enough, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and include it.
