Jeff, just a thought. But if you are going to have these printed, you may want to run a few extra. I think any of would love a sheet to use for parking lots. I can see how this could be easily cut down to fit for small areas. I would be interested in one.

Showtime this Thanksgiving weekend at the Great Train Expo in Pleasanton, northern California. Here is a 10 car string of the Autoracks easily being pulled by a UP SD70. I was wondering how these tall heavier cars would run but I can say, and EVERYONE else noticed too, including the frothing N scalers, that they were perfect runners ! EXTREMELY stable, no wobble, whatsoever.

Here is the Autorack facility, still in progress:

Here they are coming around the 45 degree curve:

Oh ! You noticed something, didn't you? Yeah, those are 2 bad-a$$ weathered and tagged babies from new N scale convert Hien. You can see his Z scale stuff on ebay. He couldn't stand those plain ones I had so he traded me for these. Oh thank Heaven !

Here is another tough one for you to swallow:

Jeff, you are definitely going to have to hire more railroad police to watch the yards. All those nice new autoracks already tagged! They look great! Good work to Hein. I also love the photos of the 10 car trains. I wish I could have been there to hear the comments from the N guys.

I watch these cars come rumbling Glen Ellyn, IL every day it seems - congrats guys on a terrific reproduction of the prototype to these "casual eyes". Now if only I can find the modern UP engines. . . :)

    Cheers,

I must take for granted what I see practically daily in this port town; auto racks from UP, SP, CSX, CN, CP, BNSF, just to name a few off the top. Not to mention the coal loads, container loads, tankers, grain, sulpher, potash...whatever. Although I'm on a seasonal slowdown, and more so during the Olympics, I'd be glad to take some pictures of these if any of you are interested. Some of the auto racks sport some interesting tags :)

I have noticed that most of the stored autoracks alongside HWY 407 in Mississauga are now back in service. There were articulated cars and singles and I lost count after reaching 300 on a 8 km spur full of autoracks of every strip and road. Just short gaps at each road crossing to clear the traffic. There were also a few container well cars and trailer flats at the far end and they are all gone now and the track is empty again. This spur was just off the east end of the intermodal yard for CP trailer loading facility in Mississauga (just east of Toronto south of the 401 HWY and west of the 407 HWY). Looking on google earth you can still see the long line of cars on the spur going down to the hydro station just north of the 407 & 403 Hwy junction.

    Seasons Greetings all

    Rob,
You are jumping the gun by not allowing Rob Kluz to make the announcement. Dealers can't order until he has listed them.

I had a customer just now email me and want to order some of the new items and I was not even aware by Rob that they were available yet. Makes me feel dumb telling my customer I don't know what he is talking about.

You seriously think a manufacturer shouldn't announce new product? But that somehow it would be better to let a distributor announce first?

    Twilight Zone.

If the distributor can announce product availability at the same time then that is fine to have the manufacturer announce new product, however.........

How do you think dealers feel when they have absolutely no idea what their customers are talking about when they order product that has not been announced by the distrubutor?

Dealers have to know what is available before customers or at least at the same time.
There was no way to order product from Rob A's announcement and here I have customers clamoring for the new items that to me don't exist yet.

    Walk in my shoes.........
