Thank you for pointing it out, that's why they call it chop nose.... it is not even close and level on the top of nose. This is not a standard nose like many RR have. Hope this pic would help and remember this is Z scale.

    Regards,
    Hien

    Hi Hien

That is why I asked the question as to which railway as there are some home grown versions such as WM and there are others done on a production line. But I still think if you look at that picture and check the aspect ration of width to height of the windows in the photo and your model that will find your windows are not tall enough. I will look for a top down picture as I have seen this loco and the bottom of the windows over the hood are a lot closer to the top of the hood than yours are. Anyway looking good and Yes I realize it is Z but we are doing great things and between you and Gerd some very interesting a beautiful results.

Congratulations on the work you have done.

If you are not aware of it WM/CSX 6400 was originally WM 25 and their is some nice video of it online.

I looked around for some more photos and when I went to post the links the message crapped out and was lost.

I think is was 6404 that I saw with a photo at hood level but it has a single piece windshield.

looking forward to the finished product.

They are as many versions of nose chopped GP9 around as low nose GP9 exists, factory installed, retrofitted in x-styles with high and low windows, single GP20 windows, wide and narrow windows, etc. Really depends on the RR and the qulity of the work shop.
Alex, you are employing the whole Z world, man, I thought Japan is in recession.... ;)

They are Robert Ray's caboose kit, the man who's well known in Z scale.
