I have put photos and videos on here before , I just don't need to do it every week. I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets tired of the same old same old week after week after week.
    Besides, I like to complain.
This ones for you geared steam....

Thanks for the great idea to copy. I get bored with my same old static diorama that I photograph on. I try to use movable scenery to vary the look but this gives me another option.

Between you, Grampy and a couple of others, you raise the bar and keep it very interesting. Thanks

I guess I have some same old photos I'd like to share.

Last week I finished applying all the details to my Mikado:

And last night I just finished the first pass of paint:

    Another before:

    And with paint:

I have a few more parts to paint with different colors, then this one will be ready for weathering!

If you would compare the date on each post you'll find they were both shared with us today and only repeated when the new Weekend Photo Fun thread was posted.

I'm a bit irritated by some of the comments in this thread and suggest some of you go over and read our current discussion on how to properly provide criticism.

Calling the shared work of fellow members "Same old" is not an example of proper criticism. I greatly enjoy EVERYONEs shared photos and look forward to this thread each weekend. I hope those of us who take the time and effort to simply share our work have not been put off by these frustrating comments.

And now I have completed all painting on my Burlington O-4 Class Mikado!!

All that is left is to re-number the cab and then I get to weather it (the fun part)!! :D :D

This simple Mikado plus a $20 GHQ kit has made this model a priceless addition to my roster.

You expect me to read all that garbage? I'm a bit irritated too being told how to criticize something when I'm not even critcizing anythinng. I'm stating fact. I am tired of seeing the same pictures over and over, thats all I said. If someones feelings get hurt, too bad.
You guys are slowly turning this into something I see on MRR all the time. A bunch of crybabies.

No, we have always discouraged bickering and tried to keep this forum atmosphere a pleasant place to hang out. It seems the majority of people like it that way. Folks get enough stress elsewhere and want to have a place to go to avoid it. Those who like stress find somewhere else to drift of to. Everyone is free to come and go where they please. If they don't like the atmosphere here, they move on.

Kim Saign Ops Session - Austin

Several of the convention attendees and some others had an ops session at Kim Saign's layout last night. Here are a few photos of the session and Kim's great layout.

Notice the three dome tank car in the center of the photo.

Working hard, even at the post-convention!

I like seeing the old photos repeated again on WNFF. I run old trains and like old photos.

    Salina

I'm busy laying track at my Salina. Here's the right side:

The three mainline turnouts are code 55, all other are code 40!
    Now I'm waiting for track.

Much more diplomatic that how I woulda put it...;)

Now & then I like to see the "same ol' same ol", as well as the new stuff. Sometimes reruns are a good thing. If I want griping, I'll get it at my workplace.

Despite the comments from some, I enjoyed seeing this weeks photo offerings. Soon as I get this house remodeling done, I hope to be able to post a few more myself.
