To make things simples I have a loop like this:

I isolated it and wired + and - to it. But when the loco tries to go down it and I switch the turnout, the DCC Command control starts freaking out cause there is a dead short and I can only assume it is is there as when I take the loco off, everything returns to normal. How do I get it to go down that section with out shorting everything out?

    Thanks!

You need some type of electronic device. Look at Digitrax or others. This will change the polarity when an engine enters the connecting track.

The Digitrax AR1 is a very simple to setup auto reversing circuit. Easy to wire and mount/hide - works like a charm.

The AR1, was recently installed on a friends layout of mine. Runs smooth.

Just follow the simple wiring directions that comes with it.
