Some old photos this time for me seeing as how I am up in Oklahoma City for a train show. I brought my Richmomd, Texas NTRAK modules that have the old SP bridge over the Brazos River. The county court house. The old "Davis House" and the water tower.
Your old stuff is just great, Russell. Post away. Grampy, one of us normally posts a counterposing steam photo or diesel, but my entry this weekend, complementing your fine shot with one of each, is this modern Santa Fe SD75M grumbling up Seneca Hill in winter.
Thanks, Crandell and Dan. Crandell, awesome scene and photo, reminds me that the white stuff will soon be on its way here. DJ.
Good work everyone. I'm experimenting with a painted backscene to divide the front part of the layout from the rail line behind. The reverse side of the backscene can become low relief industrial buildings. So far I've only done this very small test scene to see how the river might look. Mike
The new Walthers Barn and foundation in action.... I still need to weather the barn a bit more and finish the interior (hay loft and lighting).
Since the thread is called Weekend Photo FUN, I had a bit more fun with one of the pictures I posted above. I cropped the photo to just focus on the turntable. I've now made this my desktop wallpaper on the PC.
my first detailing job in about 15 years....N Scale Kato U30C with NSN parts, I need a BLMA P3 horn and a Atlas U23B nose light, plus weatheringto complete...
Thanks, bremner! BTW do you know when Bachmann's 70-tonner will be available? should I ever make a switching layout of the El Cajon Branch of the SD&AE someday, I may want a few.
