Also, don't forget those large Turkey dressing needles you see at the grocery store. Those make great glue applicators when sharpened.
Thanks for all the great Ideas. Now I wonder what kind of goodies I can find in my girlfriends box of sewing stuff. hboy:
The Step 3... a little earlier than it should be
Here's the video for the week. Step 4.
Step 5 (in 4 parts) This is 1 of 4
Step 6 Here’s one ahead of time, because I won’t be able to do updates until the end of the week of Feb 16. I don’t have any more recordings, so I need to build from the ground up again. And I’ll be out for a few days. So until Feb 20, have fun modeling stuff. Ps. You can also leave comments on my YouTube channel regarding those video, to know if they are useful for you...or not. Ben
Last week, I came out with a new house kit, it is the Little house in the prairie farmhouse, I've just update it on my web site. http://animekmodels.com/Structures.html
This week I've come out with a new model kit to assemble. A Lookout tower kit of model R-6. The R-6 refers to Region 6 of the U.S. Forest Service (Washington & Oregon) http://www.firelookout.org/fire-lookout-types.html The stairs are designed by following the video game model from Campo Santo FireWatch, the game is scheduled to come out this year.
Ben, That is a very popular lookout style. All mountain modelers need to have one of your kits. Great looking kit Ben. Years ago Robert Ray made me a model of the Illahee Rock lookout located 35 miles SE of Roseburg , Oregon. Though yours differs only slightly from mine, they are very close to the same. Here's my lookout on my moudule.
I was another lucky one to get a Robert Ray kit, and assembled by Robert Ray. The lookout looks like the real thing. Sure wish Robert would get back in Z. ...don
Robert's lookout is an L-4 type, mine is an R-6, you can see the differences between the two bellow. Mine has no storm shutters, no french windows, the tower has an angle of 5 deg, and the stairs are outside the tower (Those were Hell to design for a kit). It is overall, pretty straightforward to assemble.
Well, with images side-by-side, I see I now need to buy one of your kits and put it at the other end of the layout. As you know I've put together several of your kits and they are exceptionally good, with super fine detail. ...don
Yes, I know you've been a great supporter of my work, and I thank you for that. In fact I'm taking this moment to say a big "Thank you" to all the people who had supported me, by buying my kits during all those years, you know who you "all" are. I't been almost 10 years now, since Dorothy's house. :startled: Ben
