I wanted to get some information about the Ntrak and n-scale clubs or modular groups in the Greater Denver area. I met several members of the Denver Ntrak club in Louisville, so I know there is some quality modeling going on, I just haven't heard from any one for a while and want to get some contacts or general information. The reason is, that one of our club members is moving to the Denver area and I wanted to give him a few contacts and open a few doors for him. I also wanted to give the clubs a heads up that a skilled, enthusiastic and talented young n-scaler is going to be heading your way with some fine N-Trak modules. He has been an asset to our group and anyone should be willing to grab on to him. So any info that I might pass on from the Mile High would be helpful.
I know there is a Denver N scale club, but I'm not sure if they are modulars or not. He is also welcome to come join the Northern Colorado Model Railroad Club. I'm on the board and other than the few blow-hards that every club has it's a great organization. We are largely dominated by HO scale though and it would be awesome to meet another N scaler to help increase our numbers.
Just for fun I looked at the NTrak Clubs listing. The DANS link does not seem to function any more. Boxcab E50
this is their site. Denver Area N-Scale - An N-Trak Group i think they are setting up for the show in Cheyenne in a few weeks
There is an N scale Junk Sale (swap meet) at the Forney museum this Saturday at 10:00. It's being put on by most of the N scale clubs in the Denver Area. The DenTrak club took a couple of hits in the last 5 months with two key members moving away. Kent Charles moved to Arizona and Dave Porter moved to Virginia. The club is still active with Tim Fitzgerald at the helm. If the "greater Denver" area includes Pueblo, he can join the three of us N scalers here .
I can't wait for the swap meet! I have been waiting anxiously since I saw a flyer for it at Caboose Hobbies a month or two ago. MioneRR, will you be there? It might be kinda neat to meet up with a few guys from TB.
Before this topic goes much farther east, Thanks to those that answered. I have sent the information on. Any other stuff would be helpful also. Ken, Are my chances of winning better if I buy a ticket:eh-goofy:
There is an N-Trak club here in Colorado Springs (50 miles south) too: Pikes Peak 'N'Gineers, Colorado Springs, CO You or he can contact me at cfquinlan@gmail.com if you want more info. Chris
I'm planning on being at the swap meet. Greg, when is the "new guy" coming? I can put him in touch with Tim.
