Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum so a little about me. I model a 1940's era N scale layout. It's about 12' long x 8' wide as a walk in layout with a removable set of twin bridges to gain access to the center of the layout. I have been model railroading since the 1980s when I purchased some Z scale stuff while stationed in Germany, hence the questions in Z scale. I moved up to N scale in the late 80s and have been doing it off and on from then on. My current layout is in the track laying stage and is not yet complete in that regard. I look forward to getting advice in both scales and learning alot. Jim
Welcome to TrainBoard Jim! A 12' x 8' layout in N scale is a nice size! We have weekly thread called the Weekend Photo Fun where everyone is invited to share photos of their models/layouts, whether complete and fully sceniced, or in progress with a mess of tools everywhere. I'd be glad to see what you've created if you're willing to share. Lots of sources of inspiration in those weekly threads! What branch of service were you in while stationed in Germany? One of our staff members is currently stationed there. Glad to have you here!
Welcome to TrainBoard! If you happen to have a track plan or some photos, please hop over to our N Scale Forum and share with us. It's always good fun to see what others are accompishing. Boxcab E50
