    bridge No. 1

No. 7 leads a north bound, mixed freight over bridge No. 1

Things are kind of laid back here, even the seagulls didn’t move with No. 7’s passing over head.

Since I did not get anything done this last week, I brought out some old stuff and apologize if I have posted these before.

This is an old Robbins Rails 60' Greenville car, where I spread out the wheelbase from 41' to 46', carved off the rivit detail and scribed lines to replicate the weld lines as this is a Thrall version of the 60' Auto Parts Car. Painted Boxcar Red and lettered with Mark Vaughn's decals.

Another Robbins Rails 60' Greenville car, the only change was to change the wheelbase to 46'. Painted Century Green with Black Ends and Roof and lettered with Walther's Decals.

This is a Details West kit, where I carved off the Plug Door and added a 10' Door from an Athearn Kit. Painted with Floquil Reading Green and lettered with Herald King Decals.

    Thanks for Looking

    Rick J!

I took this picture on my two-module scenic display.

These two modules were originally built as HO modules, but I have converted them to N-scale. I took out the double track, single span HO bridge and replaced it with a single track, double span N-scale bridge on this module.

    PROJECT C44-9W UPGRADE
Feeling proud with my progress on this mega task. Couldn't resist lining them up for a shot. Been doing a lot of work on these BNSF/SF Warbonnets, three of which will be upgraded to the late version of the C44-9Ws, used by BNSF. I covered a lot of ground however I still have far to go. 'The three units in the middle have had the sand filler hatches removed from the 'old style' position. The unit in center has the sand filler hatch installed in the right position to match the prototype (at top of the hood just above the lights), I've also installed the MU cables. (At left) The Athearn factory installed sand filler hatch has been replaced with a more prototypical version made by Details West. That unit along with its sibling (partially pictured) will remain in the early C44-9W config'. All 5 Warbonnets will be heavily weathered, some a little more than others.'

With resin castings like these virtually anything is possible. Slicing off a hood or door would necessitate milling out the resin inside but yes, it could be done. I just don't feel like doing it.

Here's a look at an SP Overnight Express, pulled by ABA string of F3s, on the main line through the town at dusk.

The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a severe weather warning yesterday for the entire Front Range from Denver to Glenwood Springs. Up to 18" was to expected in the mountains.
I think if we get any more weather like this, the North Yard trainmaster will have to run a Moffat plow extra.

Still many more trees to go, ballast (snow), detailing, and such, but the effect is rather chilling.

I noticed last week that several unpainted cars were clear resin and some were white. Are they both from Stoney Mountain?
