I would think this is the Southern scheme honoring GP35 #2715 that is at the Savannah Railway Museum. The original S&A scheme is found on Tom Daspit's great Southern Railfan site. Just my best guess.
S&A #104 appears to be a couple shades lighter than the N&W blue to me, but I can't seem to find another color picture of the original scheme. Maybe someone else can help us with this. Here's another view of the new 1065, just for kicks.
Everything they are turning out looks so awesome, I love these schemes. The weird thing is, why I can't "Like" the standard NS Scheme. Black is even one of my favorite colors, but I just can't like the NS scheme what so ever. These heritage units are what is really getting me to want to railfan the line. The NS logo is cool, maybe if they just put a wide stripe on the standard scheme. I dunno. Still wish they had kept the Southern scheme, that green was pretty.
You can link to an external source, if a photo is not yours. Copying and importing should not be done.
Don't worry, you haven't sinned in any way. We've had people complain, so we try to watch for such. But doing so is not always possible. Can you link the photo in from wherever it was posted? Should be able, as long as they don't have hot link protection set up. It's a subject which at times seems to have some gray areas. I believe those publicity photos from NS are OK, so we should be good there.
The tuxedo rides again! Only thing missing is a high nose on the front.............but that's just me
Who'd have ever thought we'd ever again see an active engine wearing both the Reading name and colors, plus Bee Line livery?
