    Guys and Gals,

I've had at least 30 e-mails and/or private messages to ask about doing the Missouri-Illinois car (same as N) in HO. While we had planned to do an HO special run at some point, we had not planned on doing the same car right now. However, if people want it, we will certainly do it.

Please take a number here and if the numbers are here, we will do it.

    I'll take #1. Who's #2?

I personally would like to see something different more Trainboard specific. Just my two cents; I'll buy one either way. But that is my preference.
And definitely pleased about the plans for the HO edition.

    I'll bite,
Will this require commitments for 300?

I would love to have one especially if they are Accurail-run, count me for a pair anyways. #5 & #6

I'll get a couple of quotes and we'll see what the numbers will have to be to make it work. So, stay tuned to this channel.

Sure, I'll support, unles its a PITA kit. (Branchline...) I don't remember what Accurail's min run is, but i think its less than 300. Maybe Microtrains would have a reccomendation? Don't rhey pool ads with so eone like Con Cor?

I would be interested if the car is approriate for the Missouri-Illinois. Where can I see the n-scale version?

I have gotten a quote about a year ago from Accurail about a run of some 40' Boxcars for my Gulf & Ohio Midland. I think the bare minimum run they would do was 48 and they can do multiple numbers if the order is large enough.

Of course, Branchline would be great too. I have a pile of their cars.

I do too, but by pile, I mean astack of broken sprues and dreams, topped in anger, frustration, and an urge to bash the car body with a suitably large, mettalic object with a wooden handle. Lets stick with Accurail, maybe. The thing is though, boxcars have to be unique and small numbers. The local tain club has a pile of NWR boxcars from Accurail, because nobody needs another boxcar. I don't want to see E get stuck with too mny.

I would think it would have to be an Intermountain Car as the prototype s/b a 50' PS1 Boxcar, based on the fact the lettering states it has a Hydracushion 20 Underframe. Accurail has no car that fits that description and Branchline is now owned by Atlas and they do not at this time do special runs.

What was the prototype for the car that is pictured, it looks like a mishmash of types and the car number does not make sense with any PS1 boxcars?

Accurail's #5000 50' AAR boxcars could be substitute, but modelers would have to over look the riveted sides and the wrong doors for starters. Likely cheaper than Intermountain, but may turn off folks who want a more accurate carbody.

I'm hoping this offering will be "somewhat" affordable. I'm all for accuracy, but if making sure the rivet count is perfect makes it too much $$, then maybe not.

I would definitely like at least one of these in HO! MP and Frisco cross paths in a lot of places, and especially in the area I'm modeling (Paris, TX).
