That will take some time. I have so many unpainted figures I can't count them all. What I do is keep a box of them around the work bench and when I am painting some other project and am using a color that will work on fugures, pull a few out and paint them. Eventually they'll all be painted without sitting going blind painting figures for a long period of time.

Latest purchase, I got this Kato NW2 off a well known auction site for only 17 GBP (approx 27 USD) it is missing handrails and detail parts but they are cheap to buy. This will be painted in cascade green. Sent from my Xperia Z using Tapatalk 2
Those are great locomotives. A good starting point with many possible options. There is a raft of detail parts on the market to customize it to your own standards.
Matthew If you don't know, the spur for the building on right in 3rd pic goes underneath right next to the wall.
Here's a very old build. It is an Athearn, that started off as an undecorated kit, but with the wealth of detail accessories avail for this type of locomotive, I was able to model a Milwaukee switcher. Spark arrestors, wagon wheel antenna, rerailer, and pilot were added, as well as removing the cast on front grill and replacing it with louvers and a mesh grill. The locomotive was remotored with a can motor, and constant lichting was installed. Did this one about 20 years ago, and the performance is as good as anything available today. Wish I built a few more.
Great looking loco that, one thing I would like to do with the NW2 I have is to put full length handrails along the walkway as most of the Burlington Northern units had them. I had one of these when they first came out, I always regretted selling it when I sold a lot of my stock off years ago, good to have one back in the roster again. One other thing I wish I never sold was my walthers 30' funnel flow tankcars, I just can't seem to find these anywhere anymore. Sent from my Xperia Z using Tapatalk 2
