This was probably discussed with the original project....but there are three kinds of projects. 1. 100% prototypical. 2. Special Trainboard car- promotional car. 3. Prototypical car.....with Trainboard grafitti on it. Like Trainboad rules- simple. Or very dramatic TRAINBOARD in mega letters across almost the whole car. My first choice would be #3.
Ron, As posted, I think we have a pretty cool idea for the car. It will be lettered for TrainBoard and will be a conversation starter. Charlie
I concour with #3 , prototype with TB grafitti on it ... other wise I would have to patch the top with some color to see where it is .....
I seem to remember seeing...when I first started hanging out here years ago...a grain car with Trainboard in big letters accross it. I liked that one ;-)
I like MY TB grain car, it runs on the Piano, in the Kitchen, most of the time. Do anything, I'm in for 1, If it's as cool as you say, 2 o 3. Sorry, I'm 7 pages in, number 54? I think...
I was under the impression this one was open for a count, not want you or I would like to see done. Last post I seen that had a count was up to 54. I'll buy just about anything N-Scale to help support TrainBoard.
Well, the thread is called "Chatter." Plus, for a few people, what kind of car it is will depend on whether or not they will buy it. Not everyone has the money for a car they can't run, even if it's for a great cause. Alex
I've never been the Rivet counter type, if I like it, it runs on the railroad. the stranger it is the better I like it. I would even buy a Glow In The Dark Car with TrainBoard on it, but what I wold really like to see.. GLOW IN THE DARK Locomotives!!!
Those of us who model transition era time frames would have problems with an 85' whatever due to tighter radii, sharper frogs and smaller compressed scenery, but I guess we could always use another shelf queen...
There's an idea - supply the car with user applied TrainBoard graphitti decals. Or possibly sell them in the Train Store for all the scales. Everybody be happy! Well, maybe not everybody... Not to change the subject, but is anyone else having problems with this "Reply" editor box? First time I hit the backspace key, the cursor jumps to the beginning of the first line of text being typed - weird. Does it with several keyboards. Just curious.
As nice as the Missouri Illinois car came out, I'm in for one as well. I could probably use a second tank car.
That I think is a great idea! You could have various trainboard and railimages tags. Of course saying that, I have no idea how much work would have to go into such a project, and due to that, whether it could be profitable. Still, I'd be in for a sheet Anyone who knows more about this stuff have some input?
