It is!!! Things have been busy. Been working for the Louisville & Indiana Railroad Company for 4years now. Been a locomotive engineer for 2yrs so I stay busy on the extraboard. Mikado is doing well, he is getting close to retirement now, so I'm sure he is pumped! Good to be back on Trainboard!

Happy Birthday, Steve. Interesting question, how would you remove yourself from one category before entering into the next higher category.....?

WOW, isn't that amazing, I work for NS and I'm a fan of the Louisville & Indiana Railroad. :) It's always nice to see fellow railroaders who are also modelers. A lot of the guys I work with could care less. Oh by the way my age is in the upper right of this post.

About to turn 51 on the 21st...

Just read in Locomotive (Trains) that UP and NS donated some GE Dash 8s to museums...

You know you're getting old when the railroads donate locomotives that are half your age...;)

What's really fun for me is I work for NS as a locomotive Electrician. We still have the SD45-2's (1700 - 1705) on the roster that were originally purchased by the Erie Lackawanna. I was 11 years old when the EL purchased these locomotives and now I'm helping to maintain them. But on the other hand all of the Dash 7's from my high school days are gone :eek:hboy:

I'm 41 and have been modelling for over 20 years. I'm finally getting some time to actually sit, use and enjoy what I have and realize that I also have way too much to ever use.

Do we have a graph of the results of this poll? Just wonder what the average age of members is. Lots of us oldies about, but youngsters are needed for continuation of the hobby ;)

Just adding up from the bottom, half the responders are over 55, and most of the data is already over a year old. In the long run it would be better to use the “When were you born? (The ageless age poll?)”.
