Speaking of Nevada, I cannot think of anything there which would match. Outside of that state, I know it is not Apache RY.
I am not getting time to look for this one. We are being slammed by spammers trying to get in here, on TrainBoard. They're making a big mess for us!
I've been thinking AZ/NM/TX area. The area appears to look right. But, I've not found anything correct yet. Hope you are able to can the spammers!!
Just nailed a couple more. We are weeding out many dozens a day right now. Our Spam Patrol Team is short a member right now, but he should be back soon. Most are trying to sneak in links. Those lead to bad sites, nasty software, or are simply pay-per-click. Most are coming from China, via hijacked IP addresses, or IP masking software- Or so they think. Ha ha.
Well, Utah, part of Colorado and a corner of Wyoming are west of the Rockies, yet I am not stumbling over this one. Strange.
Been doing a fair amount of searching for this one. It's been giving me fits!! Thought I might have had a location or two found, that matched. No dice. Still trying though.
That doesn't leave much which is east of Nevada! Suddenly we are in Idaho, which is not east of Nevada...
Now it seems to be down to: Colorado Wyoming Montana Part of Idaho Part of Utah Trying to figure if Class 1, short line, or privately owned - industrial line etc... Guess I'll have to narrow it down a bit to areas that appear to be fairly dry. This one has been a wicked one so far!
Well, I can tell you that it is not a Class 1 and that it is in Utah somewhere in the Great Salt Lake region.
It is not the Utah Central. Hint #7: It is not a shortline or regional railway. It is something smaller.
Well, it's not the Heber Valley. I know the Utah RY has a terminal operation in Provo. I'm out of guesses.
The only gold in Utah which comes into mind is mining. I know they get some gold out of the Bingham Canyon/Rio Tinto Kennecott operation.
