My Athearn 4-6-6-4. Originally Clinchfield and I detailed it for SP&S. No enclosed cab though, and I just learned Athearn will doing SP&S 910 with the enclosed cab! John
Several times in the past couple of weeks we have seen this happen. Murphy must be a consultant for the model railroad manufacturers industry!
Figures after I went to the trouble to modify mine, also into an SP&S version. Wasn't too much I could do with the tender though so basically left it as it was. Hopefully they will do the correct tender for it and at some point that tender or maybe the tender shell will be available. My 910.
And I guess I will add my small contribution to this thread. Old Class A Climax is smoking up the countryside while switching a load of wood chips at the sawmill.
My Kato Mikado which I painted in Erie. Just as with some other models posted here, I think Kato later offered the model in Erie.
Nice Challenger John. Athearn has some parts available for the 4-6-6-4. I got the oil unit for the tender. Maybe the will offer shell parts and we can add the enclosed cab...... John
Rusell, you can never have "too much steam" nice shot! I have one of these Harrimans in UP... regards, Otto K.
