When I rest the cursor on the Cattle Car title the URL shows in the lower left corner. However, nothing happens when I left click on the title. I don't know if this is a problem at my end or with the new system. I'm using Chrome, though the problem also exists with IE-11.

I'd appreciate any advice, even with Charlie saying "I'll get to it after I get rid of all the other alligators.";)

I am not seeing that. Is anyone else having a similar issue?

Is there something that I need to do with my Profile, or something? With the old system, I remember having to sign up, or dedicate my first-born, or some equally convoluted action before I was allowed to interact with Cattle Car.

I think Charlie opened it up to everyone without having to join any more.

Hank, I have no problem accessing Cattle Car. I know you were signed up on the old system. I'm using Chrome.

Just because...what OS? What browser (you may have said elsewhere, but I didn't see it in this thread)?
Do you have anything like ABP that could be blocking some aspect of that forum?
    You can disable it temporarily.
    What AV?

Dave, thanks for the link. Unfortunately it returns "do not have permission to open this page", and I see no place where I can obtain permission.

I've been clicking the title (Header) for Cattle Car.

    OS - Win7 Home Premium
Browser - Chrome, though not familiar with its setup. I prefer IE11, but can't use due to login status issue.
AV - Microsoft Security Essentials, Firewall, etc.

I'm not familiar with "ABP", define please.

    AdBlockPlus is ABP.
IE11 has been an issue in some areas of usage since it was dumped on an unsuspecting public.
I have IE6 and IE8, both work here.
Wife has IE9, haven't tried that.

Cattle Car does not open on either Chrome or IE11. Nor do I see any option in my profile or near the Cattle Car Header to request authorization as we had with the "old" system.

I don't see ABP listed in IE11 Internet Options/Advanced, is it a third party application?

Ken, did you do anything to enable Cattle Car access when you first opened the new system?

Third party, wonderful application, but if you set something wrong...it does what you ask it to do.

Hank- The only thing done was to make it open to all, rather than a set aside area. Hang in there, as we have TONS of things ongoing.

The forum you are on now is:
    http://www.trainboard.com/highball/index.php?forums/support.88/
The one you cannot access is:
    http://www.trainboard.com/highball/index.php?forums/the-cattle-car.148/

The only things different are at the ends of the url's, and that there are dashes in the cattle car url.
You're a nanoscaler, and that has a dash, so probably not something in your computer that doesn't like dashes...like some software doesn't like ?.

Heck, you're a retired computer systems engineer....what do you think?
The base url's are all the same, no special characters in cattle car url to give any fits.

Dave, the URL shown with cursor resting on header ends with 147, not 148 as you show. When I click on your link (148), I receive "You do not have permission to view this page or perform this action." However, I receive no response or any action whatsoever when I click the Cattle Car header (147).

I'm sure there's nothing within my installation of Chrome or IE11 that randomly changes URLs as the HTML links load. Also, I don't have the tools or experience to debug and patch HTML code downloaded onto my computer.

As I see it, there are two issues here. 1) why is the CC URL header link different on my computer (147 vs. 148); and 2) why do I not have permission when accessing the correct (148) link?

Observation.....all sub-forums load with threads listed below as expected. However CC does not load any threads, only the pink box with header is shown. This possibly is due to the errant 147 URL....?

    Interesting.
My computers are all XP, one 32 bit (this one) two 64 bit (one for wife upstairs, one next to the 32 bit).
However, I have user switching agent, so websites that don't dig deep think I am 7/64 bi, FF 29 n(I think that's the current setting).
So right now, TB thinks I am 7.
Why would I have a different url for Cattle Car than you do, and why does my url not work for you?
