I have found a local source an lengths for CP Multi Mark Boxcars:
    40' - About 17"
    50' - About 21"
    60' - About 25"
What would the width and height be?
    Thanks!

Whoa. I don't know who gave you these numbers, but for S scale, those are way, way off.

    40 scale feet in S is about 7 & 7/16th inches.

    50 scale feet in S is about 9 & 3/16th inches.

    60 scale feet in S is about 11 & 3/16th inches.

This is a bit confusing, as the topic title is S Scale, but it is in the G Scale & Larger Forum....

Hi Ken, I'm ' sorry, it was late and I just got my wires / eyes crossed. I'm still having some difficulty navigating the new, (but nicer), layout. :)
    QUALITY G SCALE TRAINS
Largest Selection of G Scale Rolling Stock in the World
    "Ultimate Series" is 1:29 Scale
"American Series" and "Work Trains Series" are 1:24 Scale
But someplace I saw 'S' scale and messed it all up.
May I ask you to change the name of the thread?
    Thanks again!

    Steve-

I have edited the topic title from "S" to "G". Does that work?

I have a boxcar you can have. Local pickup only.
Over four feet long, oh, 18" high, 15" wide, no trucks or couplers.
    Bring a truck.
    And spider spray.
Just about any modern computer will fit..and you can probably stick a 4/3 monitor in the open door.

Dave, Thanks, but I think if I brought that home my wife would move out. :)

You have piqued my curiosity! For what purpose are you putting a computer in a boxcar - in whatever scale? Thanks.
