Okay. I just added up some numbers, and in this forum alone, since the migration, there are over 10,000 views of threads..or "activity".
In that is 641 actual posts. Activity on last post before the migration was 19MAR, then 02JUN, then on 01JUL it was off to the races.
    Observation.

Uh, no. Not sure where your numbers originated, but 641 is way, way off. I see the daily stats. No, I cannot share, so please don't ask.

This forum. The one we are on, "support". Just go down the individual threads and add up the numbers back to 01JUL. (ignoring stickies)
Just over 10,000 views in this, this forum alone in that time, with an actual (adding the numbers) 641. Yeah, my vintage, rare, collectible calculator could have missed one or two...especially when operated by rare, vintage, collectible fingers.

Sorry. I missed the "this forum." That is correct, for what is showing. A couple of topics have been moved or removed. And taking that away from the other activities, we are easily double pre-July 1.

If you decide to go through and add the others, you won't get an accurate total, as again, some have been moved or removed.

Most of it is probably you bashing Microsoft and Facebook. A few people have asked questions.

Oh...you mean everybody jump quick into a new release OS? Yup. Did question that once or twice.

Or, 3-6 months and see. The "free" upgrade is good for a year. No need to hasten it along.
Heck, they might have Doors 95 out by then.

Not to be rude, but I think that I can outnerd you on computers. Until last month, I did admin work on 3 types Windows OS and 4 types of Linux OS, with 3 different control panels, excluding RDP. We finally got rid of Windows Server 2003, so no more Front Page for me!

I ain't a computer nerd, but I do work on them and keep them running.
    I unloaded Server 2003 about...5 weeks ago.
I love a challenge..and not being part of the crowd.

As a self-proclaimed analog person, I'm getting more than a little tired of the constant attempt at drifting into non-relevant tangents. Opinions about how the new site is put together are quite valid, as are ideas on ways to make it more user-friendly. Discussions of operating systems or browsers are, ultimately, going to go nowhere quite simply BECAUSE we, here at Trainboard have about zero control of those things.

I have just returned from a long hiatus to the TrainBoard, and I have to say that I absolutely love the new format. Much more modern, fluid, and intuitive. It's now a lot easier to embed media of any sort, the posting tools seem easier to use, and there's more useful links right at my fingertips.

I only have one issue: The place used to be covered in "Support Trainboard" hyperlinks, and now it isn't. My card on file expired and I would like to become a supporter again, but can't find it for the life of me (because while I may be handsome, I make rocks look intelligent :cautious:)

Just found the new emoticons, love those too! :p

Kudos and thanks to everyone who I'm sure has put a ton of time and sweat equity into making the change, I really think it's fantastic.

Good to have you back. The support link is here. We want people to support the site but we don't want to bang the drums too loud.

    Thanks again.

Thank you! Got that taken care of. Something else I just discovered that I love: the "Like" button being added. One of the reasons I drifted away was a lot of the time I felt like I was posting layout updates for myself. I think the like button will (at least for me) give a greater sense of community connection and feedback. It's much easier to hit like than to say "looks good" from a psychological point of view.

    Excellent!

I am a fan of the like feature for the same reason that you mention. :)

    Thanks again!

I too was away for a while as we had a crazy work deadline. I had tried keeping up partially via tapatalk, but I kept getting errors and couldn't figure out why. I remember the pornography link and picture bug, so now it all makes sense.

I too like the "like" feature, a few of the RC forums have a similar feature.

    What happened to the groups?

We still have the data. If at some point an importer is available for the groups, we will import all of that.
