I like that bridge plate. Is that a scratch built detail?

Hi Paul, yes the bridge plate was scratch built. I used clear styrene on the bottom for the feet. I painted them silver to look like metal. Feel free to copy!

After the total rebuild of my layout I am starting to place industries back down.

The first one to have the basics added is Lakeland animal feeds.

General Mills on the LAJ sends out the shells/husks for animal feed. Up into the '60s it was shipped in boxcars & now in covered hoppers.

I am currently working on something fun. It's what happens when you are a modeler and go to Disneyland.

I'm building a Pike Stuff kit, for an industry, and I wanted to smooth the inside of the building so it wouldn't look like all Pike Stuff kits do with the deep groves to cut the walls to different heights. So, I bought a No Hunting sign from the big box store, and I use that to line the inside of my building. This way I can detail the inside and it looks OK. We haven't built the building yet, but does a brothel and prostitution count as an industry?

I have 19 switchable industries and team tracks on the layout:

    Oil & petroleum distributor
    Freight houses
    Railroad supply house
    Brewery
    Scrap metal yard
    Manufacturing buildings
    Feed and supply
    REA building
    Team tracks
    Packing house

Here's a sampling of the industries:

(first pic; loading tracks for these two are behind the buildings, barely visible here)
