Well here we are again, it's Friday morning and it's time for Weekend Modeling Plans! My day of is today and Monday and it will be spent packing and un-packing. Yes, after a few years in this house, we are moving to a bigger house and will hopefully work better for all involved. Unfortunately it is the the move back to NH I am so looking forward to but rather just down the street. Saturday and Sunday will be work days with moving in between. CB&Q 9240 by Jim Wiggin posted Sep 25, 2015 at 8:31 AM I finally finished the Galesburg City Job's NW-2 switcher. We're using this motor until the SW is finished. This particular unit is one that operated in nearby Peoria in 1965 and later. It will be a good stand in and I love the less modeled simplified scheme seen here. So how about you? What do you have planned this weekend? Some track work? Scenery? Maybe a bit of kit bashing? Whatever you plan to do, let us know! We'll come back here on Monday the 28th and do it all over again. Until then, have a great and safe weekend and... High Greens!
Well, I'm going to be adding TCS Keep alives to 4 or 5 of my steam locomotives with tsunami's already in them. Continued work on a wood structure kit that I'm working on, and maybe some scenery work if I can find time... Hope everyone has a great weekend! -Chris
I don't know if I'll get any railroading models done, but I'll be finishing one model, and starting on one, maybe two others. I've put off doing a photo series of my train collection, so I might do that this weekend.
No plans right now. Some football games on TV. Some things to do around the house, before weather changes altogether for Fall. Will see if I carve out a few moments...
Working on a couple of Athearn blue-box Santa Fe water tank cars (with different road numbers) for a new spur siding on the Johnstown branch that is now under construction, for water deliveries since Johnstown has no water wells. Assembling them, washing them in soapy water, and letting them dry before lightly weathering them. John
In between football and golf I will be working on the final edition of the Pinnacle Creek Mining & Timber Co. layout. Jim
I just finished the matte spray coat over three gondolas. Being gondolas, I can weather the heck out of them to help mask the crappy job I did applying the decals. This was my first foray into N scale decals after a long time, and I have to admit I'm not a fan. Next up are six undecorated ore cars, and if the rain stays away tomorrow I have a frame to assemble for my new switching layout.
